I've been steeping a teaspoon of this in hot water before bed and the calming effect is noticeable within about twenty minutes. The dried herb smells fresh and potent, not dusty like some bulk teas I've tried. It does taste bitter, so I add a little honey, but that's expected with motherwort.

I was bracing for something aggressively bitter, but this dried herb is pleasantly earthy and surprisingly easy to drink as a tea. The leaves are clean and finely cut, which makes steeping quick and simple. It’s become my go-to wind-down ritual before bed.

Steeped a teaspoon in hot water for ten minutes and the dark amber brew definitely lives up to its reputation for calming my nerves before bed. The bitterness is there but it fades into a pleasant earthy note that I've actually started to crave.
