The kola nut is used to flavour cola sodas and has traditionally been used as a a superfood supplement to boost metabolism, aid digestion, increase energy and improve overall health. The nut contains caffeine and comes from the evergreen kola tree, which is found in African rainforests. The kola nut has a bitter taste which becomes sweeter as it is chewed.
