PREMIUM ORGANIC CACAO POWDER - CEREMONIAL GRADE SUPERFOOD
Our 100% Organic Peruvian Criollo Cacao Powder has a rich chocolatey flavour and a wonderfully smooth texture. Cacao, sometimes also called cocoa, is naturally rich in protein and in a range of antioxidants such as theobromine, as well as in the minerals copper, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and zinc, amongst others.
A popular superfood packed with many health benefits, Cacao's botanical name literally means 'Food for the gods'.
Organic, untreated or raw cacao is an incredible mood enhancer due to the huge amounts of 'feel good' or bliss phytonutrients contained in this Amazonian superfood that is commonly found in chocolate.
Organic Cacao powder also naturally contains nutrients that are traditionally regarded as beneficial for blood and heart health. Historically it was also reputed to lower inflammation and may help fight the ageing process.
The internet is flooded with recipes using cacao, from making a simple cuppa or smoothie to more complicated but delectable snacks and desserts. So make this premium cacao part of your daily regimen to enjoy the amazing benefits it can bring.
The Cacao growers we source from are UTZ-certified, which sets guidelines for sustainable farming methods, favourable working conditions and fair remuneration for the producers.

Try this super easy hot chocolate recipe:
First, whisk 2 tablespoons of the raw cacao powder into
2 cups of cold milk with either 1 tablespoon of icing or
coconut sugar. For a healthier option, a drizzle of
honey or maple syrup can be used. Add a splash of
vanilla extract (optional) and a tiny pinch
of salt (optional, but it balances the flavours).
Whisk until smooth. Whisking the cacao into the milk
before heating it allows it to dissolve completely.
If you add it to hot milk it can clump up.
Warm the hot chocolate on the stove, and you’re DONE!
The milk should preferably be 2% or more whole milk
and you can of course experiment with the amount of
sweetness or milk you add.
