Peony is thought to be one of the oldest and most important herbal remedies in China.
Peony Root has been traditionally used in tea and herbal tea remedies primarily for calming the mind, helping with insomnia, anxiety and women's health issues. It was historically also said to promote hair growth and healthy skin.
It is usually combined with other herbs in specific formulations and in small amounts and should not be used during pregnancy or while nursing.
