With its well known majestic and dignified beauty, the lotus flower is know as a sacred flower used historically for its therapeutic benefits.
Traditionally it was reputed to promote good health, particularly in relation to mood, digestion & immunity and for healthy eyes, skin and hair. The lotus is also an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and is naturally high in vitamins A and C, calcium and iron.
Lotus flower can be brewed as lotus tea, or used externally. It has quite a nice, sweet aroma.
